A dog rescued by the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter after being shot in December is now in much better health and loving life at a dog rescue in Eutaw.
Callie’s Place serves as a rescue for dogs and cats in need of a little extra help, whether it be a disability or injury.
Keller was about a year old when he was found clinging to life after being shot three times. After the shelter raised enough money for his vet bills, Keller got the surgery he needed.
But now he’s destined for at least one more trip under the knife, as his right eye needs removing.
Despite his setbacks, Callie’s Place showed Keller off in a Facebook post today, saying he’s doing great and getting along swimmingly with his new friends at the rescue.
