TUSCALOOSA, AL- This past weekend, the Alabama softball team played a series against the No. 8 ranked team, LSU.
“An incredible series between two really good teams and the crowd was fantastic and I have to say thanks to everyone who came out, I mean this was the first sell out of the year at 3,940. I don’t think you could pick a better day to play softball,” head coach Patrick Murphy said.
The Crimson Tide and Tigers split the first two games. In the third game of the series, the Tide beat the Tigers, leading them to win the series.
“I thought it was just a really gutty performance by us, Osorio probably didn’t have her A game. Maybe an A/B- game, and still they scored two runs in one inning. It was I think maybe two walks, a passed ball and a single that didn’t even leave the infield. So she just did a heck of a good job for us,” head coach Patrick Murphy said.
The Tide now has a record of 35-7 overall and 10-5 in the SEC.
