The Alabama men’s basketball team is receiving widespread attention after a host of highly scouted recruits have committed to coming in next year.

With a top five recruiting class along with an improved roster from this past season, as well as the addition of transfer Daniel Giddens, the team is receiving a lot of buzz and not just locally.

This is a spot the program has never been in before, but Head Coach Avery Johnson is welcoming the hype with open arms.

“I’m glad that the expectations are a little bit high here,” Johnson said. “My first two years, where have we been picked coming in the SEC? Probably 7th and 11th or something like that? We want to be picked in the top four. We want to be picked finally as a team that can potentially make it to the NCAA Tournament. That wasn’t there in the first two years.”

The team is optimistic for the 2017-2018 season which will tip-off in November.
